SHAF brings you several regular exhibitions as well as other one off shows. See below our larger and most popular events, which are fully organised by SHAF to showcase its members work in different locations throughout the year.

This year it takes place between 12th – 27th October

The Arts Trail takes place during the last two weeks of October (including the October Half Term). 2023 was our biggest year to date featuring over 70 artists displaying works across several venues in the South Hams. All information about the event’s participants, venues and opening times can be found on our Arts Trail page.

Printed brochures can also be found at venues where our artists exhibit, they can also be found in some Hotels, Restaurants, Shops and Information Centres in the area. A digital version of the brocure will also be published on website page.

Present Maker 2023 took place on November 13-26th at The Cider Press Gallery in Dartington

In 2023 Present Maker moved to a new location, The Cider Press Gallery in Dartington (run by SHAF member Pam Neaves). This exhibition showcased some great gift ideas by 12 SHAF artists and makers. This was the perfect opportunity to purchase handmade gifts by local artists including jewellery, ceramics, woodcrafts, textiles, prints, paintings, Christmas cards, decorations and more!

CRAFT Festival – Mill Marsh Park, Bovey Tracey

7th – 9th June 2024

SHAF is currently pending application for a stand at the Craft Festival, Bovey Tracey this June. If confirmed the members area will be updated with details on exhibitions applications. Futher information to follow.

About CRAFT Festival


Creative passions took place from the 7th – 20th August at the Cider Press Gallery (run by SHAF member Pam Neaves).

The gallery was situated upstairs in the light an airy loft gallery, it was offered to SHAF for their summer exhibition – formerly known as Contemporary Passions exhibition.

Now rebranded as Creative Passions, this exhibition displayed the work of 10 SHAF artists representing a wide range of disciplines within the membership. This Exhibition showcased both emerging and established artists, with a fresh new display to introduce their latest creations.

SHAF on Tour – Agricultural Shows

In 2023 SHAF selected artists to represent our SHAF on tour project. We sent between 6-10 artists (depending on space) to showcase the variety of mediums our artists produce within the association and to promote our other yearly shows and exhibitions. We met some great people and shared information on the organisation and how to become a member.
