Cherry is an experimental, mixed-media artist, inspired by the rich tapestry of colour-drenched textures, the uniqueness of the light and ruggedness of the South West coast and country landscapes and seascapes. Motivated by a welter of natural beauty that floods the senses with endless painting opportunities, she particularly enjoys the challenge of sketching and painting en plein air. It was exciting to take part in the televised Sky Arts Landscape Artist of 2015, 2016 and 2018 and hugely rewarding being selected as one of only 6 finalists in the Devon Life Landscape Painter of the Year awarded in 2017. Her absolute passion is for making and sharing art, tutoring inspiring workshops and demonstrations. Exhibiting widely, including the South Hams, commissions are welcomed.
