Biography
Local artist, painting local scenes and capturing the beauty that surrounds us.
Beacon House Gallery is set high on Bonfire Hill, overlooking the estuary and the church as shown in the photo. As if that was not enough motivation for any artist, Stephen’s paintings are inspired by the changing seasons and the effect of weather on the stunning landscapes – but mostly the seascapes – he has grown to love. He works in watercolour, acrylic and oil – and, as well selling his originals, offers high-quality giclée prints.
A range of fine art greetings cards and other ‘affordable art’ are also available direct or through local outlets: fridge magnets, key rings, wooden coasters and table mats, glass coasters and chopping boards, notebooks, purses and cushions.
Stephen’s original artworks can be seen at the Salcombe Art Club Loft Gallery and on his website http://www.salcombe-art.com.
Stephen also welcomes visitors, by appointment, to his gallery at his home in Salcombe.
