Biography
Exploring new horizons of abstract impressionism in photography, Becci creates images that not only show the different range of colours but also show how the ocean and sky change and develop with the weather that Mother Nature delivers.

Fine Art Abstract Impressionist Photography
I studied Three Dimensional Design at West Surrey College of Art and Design (WSCAD), Farnham, Surrey, now known as The University for the Creative Arts (UCA) in the early ‘80’s and after taking time out to travel and then bring up my two boys I became a Design and Technology Teacher, specialising in special needs education.
Because of my art background I used to spend a lot of time painting and drawing and I now incorporate this with my photography work. Photography has been a passion of mine for many years. At the age of nine I was very fortunate to have been given my first SLR camera and I have since that time lived the majority of my life through a lens!
Looking through a lens transports me in to another world, one where I can observe patterns, shapes, detail and colour in both natural and man-made objects. I create unique images, using my camera in the same way a painter would use their paintbrush and palette.
Life sadly changed forever in April 2012 when my eldest son was tragically killed in a car crash. My photography has since become a huge source of therapy for me. For as long as I can remember, I have always loved both the beach and the ocean, I find so much solace there. The sea brings me peace and makes me feel safe. It is my reset button and my escape from reality. Everything it gives me, including all its ever-changing colours is now reflected in my work.
In 2017 I returned to live in Salcombe, South Devon. A beautiful part of the world that is very special to both myself and my family.
My images are modern, colourful and artistic, with an almost fine art painting, abstract appearance to them. I strive to be different and if there are any rules I probably break them, but taking photographs is a real joy for me and something that I am totally passionate about.
