I have been painting in oil, watercolour and acrylic for many years, having also spent some years studying ceramics. I like to explore ways of depicting light on water, inspired by the light in the South Hams where I live, and try to emulate the emotional uplift that the interplay of sunlight on sea or sail instils in me when I look out on it.

I also love the light of the fjords of Norway, where I have family. In these paintings I tend to use a limited, largely grisaille palette with hints of colour and a more abstract style.
