I have been painting in oil, watercolour and acrylic for many years and also spent some years studying ceramics. Since moving to Devon’s awe-inspiring South Hams, I particularly love exploring ways of depicting light on water. I particularly love attempting to emulate the emotional uplift the interplay of sunlight on sea or sail can evoke.

I also love the light found in the fjords of Norway where I have family. In these paintings I tend to use a limited, generally grisaille palette, with hints of colour and a more abstract style.
