Biography

Dilyana Imandieva, known affectionately as Didi, was born in Varna, Bulgaria and currently resides in Malborough, Devon. With a solid foundation in the arts, she completed her studies at an art school, focusing her final project on iconography. Didi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Languages, specialising in French, English, Serbian, and Croatian, followed by a Master’s degree in the Pedagogy of Art, where her final project centred on stained glass.

Currently, she works as a supply teacher and an artist. Didi is known for her deep connection to her medium, adeptly using watercolours, inks, and oils to produce vibrant, personal artworks that draw inspiration from nature. Her teaching style is characterised by adaptability, allowing her to cater to the individual needs of her pupils with a gentle and humorous approach. Didi’s work reflects her dynamic creativity and commitment to the artistic process, making her contributions not only enriching for her own exploration but also for those she teaches and collaborates with.
