Although I studied art and design at a relatively early age my career took a very different path and it is only during the past few years that I have been able to return with fervour and bring into play previously acquired and also newly attained skills and techniques.  It is fascinating how many of the practices are transferrable between differing disciplines.

Naturally inspiration is fuelled by the very varied contrasts of Devon’s amazing attributes with its star attractions of tumbling, stony moors and dramatic sunsets pitted against the battle between turbulent and tranquil coastlines.  Such stimuli along with varying textures and colour help to create these vibrant woven and felted artworks.
