Drawing and painting wild and natural things
I was born on a farm in Zimbabwe, and have spent much of my life in Africa. Dartmoor is now my home. Where nature and wild spaces still provide vital sustenance. And also a strong desire to record natural beauty for personal satisfaction. I’m an essentially self-taught artist having built on formal training and qualifications as an Interior Designer. My current focus is botanical studies of grasses, wildflowers and trees. Dartmoor’s ancient wooded enclaves, whilst feeling familiar over time, provide a seemingly endless trove of subjects and inspiration. Most of my work has been sold privately to homes sharing a rich appreciation for nature, both far afield and on our doorsteps.
