I like to paint in themes over several years. I have been inspired by the coastline of the South Hams in oils and pastel for the past 14 years. I mainly paint en plein air so that I can respond dynamically to the atmosphere, the colour and the changing light.
I’m passionate about drawing as a way of exploring my relationship with my subject.
I studied Fine Art at Winchester College of Art and as a postgraduate at the Slade. I have exhibited widely all my life in the UK, as well as in Australia and France.
