Julie Talbot-Dunn, originally from North London, began her art training at Barnet Art College in the early 70s, and went on to study graphic design and fine art at Jacob Kramer School of Art, Leeds. Her working life was spent in publishing, graphic design and editorial in York, Exeter and London.
Now settled in Dartington, Devon, Julie’s work is primarily mixed media abstract, with a focus on the magic and beauty of Dartmoor, the mists, the textures, the mystery! “I love working on large canvases, using acrylics and collage to create a sense of the surrounding landscapes. There is great versatility in using acrylics – the rich colours, the brush strokes and also it suits my mood to be able to work quickly!”
